Culinary tour on the first day in Yogyakarta continues. This time I stopped by the stalls selling oxtail soup in Jalan HOS Tjokroaminoto. His name Oxtail Mr. Sugeng. Oxtail is already quite famous in Yogyakarta, and have started selling around 2006.

In a fairly simple stalls Oxtail Soup with Pak Sugeng selling rojak seller / Lotis fruit. But sellers salad / Lotis longer sell these, starting from 1981. When I arrived it was crowded shop, I had a short conversation with the owner, Sugeng. According to Sugeng, could spend the day 40 to 50 pounds of meat and oxtail.

Actually this shop not only sells oxtail soup, but there are other menu such as chicken soup, chicken soup and soup kikil. Of course the most favorite here is the menu oxtail soup.

When I chatted with Sugeng was while serving customers, I also saw a large pot to a full boil with oxtail and beef, gravy steaming, aroma as well hmmm ... make it more hungry. Immediately deh me a message to Pak Sugeng one serving soup tail.

an addition to the message oxtail soup I also message Lotis one serving of fruit. For tail contains pieces of oxtail soup, red beans, carrots and potatoes. Stew sauce was delicious, tender meat on the tail as well. With the addition of red beans, carrots and potatoes oxtail soup is more pronounced complete. Sauces too spicy, can add the oxtail soup delicacy.

For the price here, do not be surprised yes, one serving of oxtail soup is only priced at Rp 15,000. A very affordable price in my opinion for a portion of the menu is a delicious oxtail soup. While the price of meat soup Rp 15,000, Rp 10,000 chicken soup, chicken soup otong Rp 8,000 and Rp 8,000 kikil soup.

While Lotis fruit, in one serving contains pieces of fruit such as pineapple, yam, papaya, cucumber, and mango. The price is USD 5,000. To sambelnya given a small portion of which is made from palm sugar and chilli. These stalls may be one recommendation if you're willing to enjoy the culinary in the city of Yogyakarta.
